Recordings
Suzuki Recordings:
********
I occasionally get into the practice room that has a recording rig so that I can see how I’m sounding without the fiddle under my ear - there’s a WORLD of difference in hearing it from an audience perspective, EVERYTHING sounds different (kind of like how your voice sounds so different when you hear a recording of it). I’ll upload some of the recordings here for anyone to listen to, partially because it might be helpful to someone else and partially because it will encourage me to practice the stuff I record more frequently
Partita I - Allemande (1st half)
Recorded 11/13/08, the first half of the Allemande (first movement) of Partita I for solo violin by Bach.
**I got my violin restored over winter break. Everything above here (and there’s more that need to be added once I FIND them…) is recorded pre-restoration. Everything below is post-restoration.
Jeandel bow
partita1 first double 1st section
Carlesso bow
Carlesso bow. Messed up a few of the arpeggios pretty well, but…it’s not bad overall and gives a good tonal spectrum all over the fingerboard & strings.
